The European Parliament is 3.5 km from the shop, about a quarter of an hour by bike. The route follows the canal towpath: after the first kilometre there is not a single traffic light, which makes it the smoothest ride in Strasbourg.
Pick up the Marne–Rhine canal north of the station and take the towpath east.
Follow the canal as far as the Ill basin, leaving the centre on your right.
The European quarter appears on the left: Parliament, Council of Europe and the Court of Human Rights follow one another over a kilometre.
